2003 Season - Week 19
And then there were four
Can anyone tell me why Mike Martz passed up the chance to win at the end of the game and instead settled to tie it with a field goal? He got all he deserved, congratulations to Carolina for winning one of the greatest NFL games ever. In the other NFC game Philadelphia came from 14-0 down to beat Destiny’s Packers, also in overtime. In the AFC they didn’t need OT but both where close games, the Patriots edged the Titans in the 4th Quarter 17-14, while the Colts outscored KC 38-31 in the first play-off game ever that saw no punts. Now that can’t be football!
And then there were four
Wayne continues to look for the double as he easily disposed of Daz 34-14. AP also had a comfortable win over Johnny. Chief had to hang on as H closed the gap to 36-33 on Favre’s 2nd TD pass with 46 minutes left in the game but H was held scoreless the rest of the way. The dream of a Threepeat is over for Marcus. The winner of BUMSBowl’s VI and VII) lead David S with 33 mins of the weekend left but Duce Staley’s score puts Stampy through. Wayne plays Stampy, Gareth plays AP. Teams to me by 9pm Friday please.
Draft Order
In the same way the play-off seeding works the draft order is based on lowest to highest scorer irrespective of division. Therefore Phil has the 1st and Wayne the 16th pick. The full order is Phil, Daz, Cheryl, Aaron, Andy H, John, Johnny, Ron, Marcus, DavidS/Mark (tbc by coin toss), Dave G, AP, Gareth, Paul and Wayne. There are extra picks at the end of the 5th round for Dave G, Mark, Phil and Ron as they cut their 1st year franchise players.
All-Time Points Leader
The calculations have been made and despite being relegated Johnny continues to be the All-Time leading points scorer (see attached) though Chief has closed the gap by nearly 100 points this year. Wayne’s Championship winning (and 3rd highest score of all time) has moved him to the top of the average score leader with a three year average of 480.7 points. Johnny’s is second with a 457.2 average amassed over an 9 year period. Chief has an average of exactly 450.0 while last years leader Ron falls to 437.5.

As a result the newsletter will be sent on Tuesday. SO PLEASE NO EMAILS NEXT MONDAY.
